The stars of hit TV drama This Is Us have reportedly secured huge bonuses ahead of the show’s final season.
As the show winds down after over five years, Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Sullivan, and Jon Huertas have been handed massive raises following negotiations over the summer, according to Deadline.
The eight castmates all insisted on pay parity, calling on 20th Television and NBC bosses to hand them all seven-figure bonuses, and backed by This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman, the executives have reportedly agreed to give the seven original cast members $2 million each, while Huertas, who became a regular in Season 2 and directed a 2021 episode, will take home a tidy $1 million.
The Deadline sources claim the original cast members lobbied studio and network bosses to bump Huertas’ bonus to match theirs, and reports suggest Metz, Hartley and company offered to pool together a portion of their own bonuses so he could achieve parity with them, but he declined the offer.
