I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! helps Channel 10 win Monday night’s ratings – but the audience is still down from 2021’s premiere










The premiere of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! delivered solid ratings for Channel 10, despite being the lowest-rated opener in the franchise’s history.  

Monday’s episode drew 1.049 million viewers nationally, including 794,000 from the five major cities: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

The broadcast delivered the highest ratings in the prime-time slot for Monday night across the free-to-air channels.

The next show behind I’m a Celebrity was A Current Affair with 607,000 metro viewers and then ABC’s Outback Ringer with 543,000. 

I’m a Celebrity placed first in all key demographics overnight: 16 to 39, 18 to 49 and 25 to 54.

It also boosted 10’s audience share to the number one spot for Monday.

While 10 usually sits in third place behind Nine and Seven, it topped both stations for the night with a 26.4 per cent network share.

Seven came in second with 25.8 per cent and Nine in third with 23 per cent.     

It wasn’t all good news for 10, however, with the opening episode drawing the lowest ratings for an I’m a Celebrity premiere since its inception in 2015.

Last year’s premiere had 1.031 million metro viewers. 

There were also declines in viewership in key demos compared to last year’s opener.

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is usually one of 10’s most well-received and highest-rated reality programs.
