Christina Perri is sharing happy news with the world.

The 35-year-old singer is expecting another baby, a girl, with her husband, Paul Costabile, 34.

The A Thousand Years artist made the public announcement on Instagram in a sweet video featuring her four-year-old daughter, Carmella.

The story begins with a box with a pink ribbon and balloon at the front door of the family’s home.

Little Carmella looks delighted as she opens the box and takes out a series of pictures taken during a recent sonogram. 

In the background you can hear the Jar of Hearts artist telling the youngster, ‘It’s in my belly!’ at which point Carmella kisses her mom’s growing baby bump.

At the end of the tear-inducing scene you can hear Carmella say ‘I love you mom.’

Writing on Instagram, the Arms singer explained, ‘rosie sent carmella a little sister and we’re very excited. we’ve been having all the feelings, but mostly trying everyday to choose joy.’ 

The joyful news comes after Christina suffered a devastating loss in November 2020, when daughter Rosie was stillborn due to complications with the pregnancy. The couple also suffered a miscarriage in January 2020.

The brokenhearted singer released a lullaby album in the baby’s honor, titled Songs for Rosie. 

The doting mom compiled a lullaby album when her oldest daughter was born, but said that even though her second daughter died, ‘there was a sense I had that I absolutely needed to make one for (Rosie) too.’

Monday’s good news was met with glee from fans and friends. Her brother, Underground Thieves musician, Nick Perri responded to the news with a series of hearts, singer Melissa Molinaro wrote, ‘congrats my love. So happy for you all’ and actress Jamie Lynn Sigler left a heartfelt message, ‘So happy for you and your beautiful family !!!!!’
